As a look development artist, I worked on creating the "Leshy Queen" for Netflix's The Witcher S2.
The challenge was to design a convincing and cohesive look for the various individual elements like moss, sprouts, and branches, and then integrate them into the main asset within the Katana scene. Ensuring these details blended seamlessly to form an appealing creature was key.
To handle the snow on her roots, I proposed a procedural approach using Y-axis normal space data instead of relying on geometry or simulation, optimizing for both time and budget constraints.
